THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18

The History Center of Olmsted County is holding its annual Harvest Moon Fall Festival on Thursday, October 18th, from 1-4 pm.  This family-friendly event will feature scarecrow decorating, pumpkin painting, apple cider pressing, and more! THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18

The public is invited to attend Parkside Gallery’s Art Exhibit on Thursday, October 18th, from 4:30-7 pm. This free event will feature art from local artists, wine and hors d’oeuvres, as well as live music. Parkside Gallery is located within Charter House in downtown Rochester.

 

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18

The 5th Annual Good Gifts Gala is taking place on Thursday, October 18th, at the Rochester Golf and Country Club. The evening includes dinner and program, as well as a live and silent auction. Doors open at 5:30 pm. This is a fundraiser for Good Earth Village.  Go to goodearthvillage.org/gala for more details.

 

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18

There will be a Car Seat Clinic on Thursday, October 18th, at Rochester Fire Station #2 starting at 3:30 pm. This free clinic will check to see if your car seat or booster seat is installed correctly. Appointments are required as space is limited. To make an appointment, call 507-255-5066.

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19

The Salvation Army’s annual Harvest Auction is taking place at the Rochester Salvation Army Community Center on Friday, October 19th. Dinner starts at 5 pm and the live auction gets underway at 6. Cost for dinner is $5. All proceeds from the event will go to support the Salvation Army youth and music programs.

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20

A Hooray for Saturday Dance Party is taking place at the Rochester Public Library on Saturday, October 20th, at 10:30 am. Put on your dancing shoes for 30 minutes of non-stop dancing fun!

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20

The Rochester Chamber Music Society presents “October Recollections: In Memory Of” on at 7:30 pm on October 20th at Christ United Methodist Church.  A string quartet from the Minnesota Orchestra will be performing along with a piano and clarinet player on various music selections from Mozart and Dvorak. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21

The Rochester Pops Orchestra presents “Film and Stage Works” on Sunday, October 21st, 3 pm, at Bethel Lutheran Church. The concert will feature selections from movies and musicals including “Lord of the Rings”, “Titanic” and more! THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25

The 57th Annual Lutefisk Dinner and Bake Sale is taking place at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kasson on Thursday, October 25th, from 11:00 am-2:30 pm and then another dinner serving begins at 4:00 pm. The bake sale starts at 9:00 am. Tickets are $17 for adults, $10 for children ten and under. 

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26

Olmsted Medical Center’s annual Craft Fair and Expo is taking place on Friday, October 26th, at Bethel Lutheran Church. There will be over 38 vendors to shop, including many with homemade items. Lunch will be served for $6. New this year, multiple raffles with a chance to win over 15 different prizes! Doors open at 8 am.

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27

The fall edition of the Rochester Record Show is taking place on Saturday, October 27th, 10 am-4 pm, at Little Thistle Brewing Company. Shop thousands of records, 45’s, CDs, and music memorabilia. Admission is free. 

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27

The 46th Annual Village Affair Craft Show is Saturday, October 27th, at Blooming Prairie High School. Shop over 75 exhibitors selling holiday items, baked goods, jewelry, toys, pottery, candles and more. Lunch will be available for purchase with the money going to local scholarships for education.  The sale runs from 9 am-3 pm and admission is free.

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27

The History Center of Olmsted County is hosting its Adult Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, October 27th, from 1-4 pm. Gather your friends and chase leads to local restaurants, bars and other attractions. Afterwards there will be an awards ceremony where prizes will be handed out. Pre-registration is required. To register, download the form at olmstedhistory.com

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27

A Pumpkin Party is taking place in Oxbow Park on Saturday, October 27th, at 1:00 pm.  Watch as a naturalist places pumpkins inside some of the animal exhibits.  What will Oxbow’s animal do? Play with the pumpkin … or eat them? Watch and find out!
