An auction of Prince memorabilia was held last Friday at the Times Square Hard Rock Cafe. Items went for way more than expected:

A purple jump-suit expected to bring in $6000 to $8000 actually went for $25,000.

An outfit worn in Under the Cherry Moon was purchased for $40,000 - double its estimate.

Prince's custom-made yellow "cloud" guitar (pictured below) sold for triple its worth at $225,000.
