April 17th & 18th at Mayo Civic Center

The 7th annual Community of Wellness Symposium & Gala, presented by Lotus Health Foundation, is coming to Rochester’s Mayo Civic Center on April 17th and 18th.  Participants can experience the soothing vibrations of sound bowls – a practice known to promote relaxation, reduce stress and bring balance to the mind and body.  In-person and virtual tickets are available now.

April 19th through 27th

You can help make Rochester “A Litter Bit Better”.  This year’s spring clean-up event takes place April 19 thru 27^th.  Volunteers represent neighborhoods, businesses, service groups, schools, faith groups, sport teams, clubs & more.  Clean-up teams scour ditches, parks, waterways and boulevards picking up tons of trash.  Since 2007, volunteers have removed more than 145 tons of litter from the community.

Rochester Public Utilities invites you to celebrate Arbor Day.  Join them on Friday April 25th from 11am to 1pm for the 23rd annual Arbor Day Celebration.  Due to rain, the event has been MOVED to RCTC’s Field House in Rochester.  Enjoy free lunch, live music, giveaways, family activities and even a free tree.  New location…same great celebration.

Saturday April 26th from 6 to 10pm at Channel One Warehouse

The 3^rd annual Epicure: One Bite at a Time event is Saturday April 26th from 6 to 10pm at the Channel One Warehouse.  Jim and Nora Rogers are co-chairs for this event featuring 12 partnering restaurants providing epicurean bites for approximately 250 guests.  Throughout the event can enjoy tours of the facility, diverse foods and beverages, custom cocktails, games, raffles and a short program raising awareness of food insecurity that impacts neighbors in our community.

Saturday April 26th at 9am at Silver Lake Park

On Saturday, April 26^th at 9am, the Tim Rasmusson Foundation will be hosting the 11^th Annual Timmay 5K Run/Walk around Silver Lake Park in Rochester.  The race will honor and celebrate the life of Tim Rasmusson, who passed away suddenly 11 years ago at the age of 26 due to an aortic aneurysm.  The event will raise funds for Gift of Life Transplant House and spread awareness about the importance of organ donation.  Over the past 10 years, over $270,000 has been raised.

The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester is an out-of-school program that empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring community members. Their membership is open to youth from K to Grade 12.
