Quarry Hill Bird Walk

First Saturday of the Month 

The Quarry Hill Bird Walk takes place the first Saturday of the month from 9 to 10:15am at Quarry Hill Nature Center. Meet by the Nature Center entrance and bring your binoculars if you have them. Dress for the weather. Walks usually last 60 to 90 minutes. It’s free and open to the public…no registration required.

That Theatre Co Presents “Gutenberg! The Musical”

That Theatre Company presents “Gutenberg! The Musical” weekends thru April 25th at the Rochester Civic Center Black Box Theatre.  It’s a hilarious show about the inventor of the printing press, using two performers playing all the parts in this ‘historical fiction’ production with music.

Saturday April 11th from 4 to 8pm at Four Seasons Centre in Owatonna

Hops for Habitat returns on April 11th from 4 to 8pm at Four Seasons Centre in Owatonna. It’s a night filled with community, craft beer and celebration. Guests will enjoy live music, a variety of local food vendors and craft beer from breweries across Minnesota. This year’s theme is ‘80’s Miami Vice’, so come dressed in your best retro look and style. Proceeds support Habitat’s Veterans Build, which impacts families and future builders in our community.

Bear Creek Services invites you to attend ‘Wines of the World’ on Saturday April 25th from 6:30 to 9pm at the Rochester International Event Center.  This is your chance to savor the flavors of more than 100 divine wines…enjoy delicious hor d’oeuvres, try your luck in a gift basket raffle, or to take part in their charity auction. 12th Annual Timmay 5K

Sat April 25th from 7:30-11am at Silver Lake Park East Shelter

The 12th annual Timmay 5K is Saturday, April 25th from 7:30 to 11am at Silver Lake Park’s East Shelter. This event honors and celebrates the life of Tim Rasmusson, known as Timmay, who passed away in April 2014 at the age of 26 from an aortic aneurysm. His legacy lives on through his generous eye, tissue and organ donation which impacted many lives.  Funds raised from this event will support the Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester, Minnesota, providing vital services and accommodations to transplant patients and their families. The 32nd Annual Transportation Fair is Saturday, May 9th from 10a to 12:30p at Goose Egg Park in Northwest Rochester.  Come explore the vehicles that ignite a child’s imagination.  Kids can turn wheels, honk horns and learn about the vehicles from the people who drive them.  See tractors, a garbage truck, school bus, fire engine, ambulance, police car and more.  No registration is required for this FREE family event, sponsored by Early Childhood Family Education, School Readiness and Rochester Public Works.
