Wine, Beer, Spirits & Cheer Fundraiser for Rochester Area Shrine Club

The 6th Annual Wine, Beer, Spirits & Cheer fundraiser for the Rochester Area Shrine Club is Friday, September 6th from 6:30 to 9pm at the Rochester Event Center. This event is open to the public. Your ticket includes samples of wine, craft beer spirits and light hors d’oeuvres. Cash bar available and there’s a Silent Auction too.
Fall Festival at Quarry Hill
Saturday September 7th from 11am to 5pm
Fall Festival is a carnival style outdoor event at Quarry Hill Park and Nature Center on Saturday September 7th from 11am to 5pm. Activities include nature games, eco-friendly crafts, candle rolling, cave tours, canoeing, rock climbing, pumpkin decorating and more. Admission to the festival is free. Hot dogs, popcorn and beverages are available for purchase. All proceeds from the event benefit the Friends of Quarry Hill Nature Center and to help keep the nature center admission free year-round while providing educational programs for youth, families and adults.
Empty Bowls To-Go Pre-Order
Event is Oct 8 & 9
Pre-orders are now open for the 20th annual Empty Bowls To-Go on October 8 and 9. This is a fundraiser for Channel One Regional Food Bank that is presented by Think Bank. Participants will enjoy a selection of gourmet soups from local restaurants along with a hand-painted bowl, which serves as a reminder to those who may not know where their next meal will come from. Empty Bowls To-Go is pre-order only and soup orders will close on Oct 2nd at 7pm.

Saturday September 14th – 10am at St Mary’s University-Rochester
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Rochester takes place on Saturday, September 14th at St Mary’s University-Rochester campus (2900 19th St NW). Registration is at 9am and the walk starts at 10. There’s more to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s than just walking. For a different future…for families…for more time…for more memories…for treatments. We’re getting closer to stopping Alzheimer’s. Everyone is invited to take part in the Brains Together 2-Mile Walk & 5K Run event at RCTC Sports Complex on Saturday October 5th from 9am to 11am. This fundraising event honors and remembers those affected by brain tumors. In addition to the walk and run, there will also be inflatables, face-painting, a Silent Auction, balloon art, keynote speaker and more. Proceeds benefit brain tumor research awarded as grant funds at Mayo Clinic.
