various Wednesdays this summer
On various Wednesdays throughout the summer, enjoy the FORWARD Park Concerts which highlight local bands and regional headliners. Concerts are held in six different walkable, pet friendly and bike trail connected parks in Rochester…one in each city ward. Come for the local food trucks, Rochester Public Library’s Bookmobile and interactive games with Rochester Park & Rec’s “Go – Play – Explore” mobile rec trailer.
Berne Wood-Fired Pizza Events
Wednesdays thru August
Berne Wood-Fired Pizza offers free musical performances every Wednesday through August. Berne also hosts special events such as Classic Car Drive-Ins, Brewfest and an artisan market. Freshly made pizza can be ordered ahead of time on Eventbrite or upon arrival.
Think Bank/Channel One Matching Donations
Month of July thru Aug 15th
During the month of July through August 15, Think Bank is matching donations made to Channel One Regional Food Bank, up to $25,000. This doubles the impact to fight food security in our area. The matching gift comes at a critical time as area food shelves are experiencing historic levels of household visits.
Rochester Community Education 50th Celebration
Saturday August 3rd – 10am-2pm at Cascade Lake Park
The Rochester Community Education 50th Anniversary Celebration is Saturday, August 3rd from 10am – 2pm at Cascade Lake Park in Rochester (88 23rd Ave SW). Come and celebrate 50 years of Community Education in Rochester! This free event promises fun for all ages, featuring class demos with instructors, games, live music, food trucks, giveaways, and more!
Night to Unite
Tuesday August 6th
Night to Unite…also known as National Night Out…is Tuesday August 6th. This event builds and fosters community bonds between neighbors, businesses and public safety organizations. This annual celebration occurs on the first Tuesday in August and is meant to promote safe communities.
Lance Pfrimmer Memorial Run
Saturday August 10th
The first annual Lance Pfrimmer Memorial Run will take place on Saturday Aug 10th at Eagle’s Club in Rochester. The event includes an 8K Run and 1 Mile Walk. All proceeds will go towards the Lance Pfrimmer Memorial Scholarship Fund, which supports students who ran track and field and/or cross country in high school. It’s created in loving memory of Lance who died in a tragic drowning accident in July 2023 at age 19. The 8K route will feature a loop on the Mayo H.S. track and both routes will pass by the newly installed memorial bench. Participants will enjoy post-run refreshments and entertainment and there’s a silent auction and raffle.
Elder Network Fundraiser Gala
Saturday September 21st
You’re invited to the Elder Network Fundraiser Gala on Saturday September 21st at the Rochester International Event Center. Social begins at 5pm with Dinner at 6pm. Keynote speakers are Angela Lunde M.A. & Vijay Ramanan, M.D. PhD.

The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester
The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester is an out-of-school program that empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring community members. Their membership is open to youth from K to Grade 12.
